Here's a breakdown of the program:
  • This is a Team Challenge in which you will compete against other teams for a top prize of a Maintain Challenge Medal & $20 Rugged Bucks for each member of the winning team.  

  • Teams can consist of 3 or 4 participants, so gather up a team of you and 2 or 3 RF buddies and come up with a team name. There's always strength in numbers and your teammates will be there to help you through these tough months. If you don't have a team, don't worry we can put you into teams once you've signed up. Registration will be $5 per person to be paid in cash when you come in to sign up weigh in. Deadline for registration is Oct. 23rd.

  • Your team will receive a score sheet in a binder at the front desk. This sheet will have a variety of tasks and challenges for each week that will help you keep those holiday pounds off as well as earn your team valuable points. Throughout the weeks there will be individual points to be earned in exercise and nutrition categories, as well as points for team challenges and weekly surprise bonus point challenges. Your team will elect a captain who will be responsible for recording the weekly points in the binder at the front desk. Weekly scores will be averaged for the number of participants on your team so that there is not an advantage to having 4 team members.

  • Weigh outs will be held during the final week of the challenge. Everyone on the team must have maintained or lost weight during challenge or the team is disqualified. The team that scored the most points throughout the challenge will be the winners. In the event of a points tie, the win will go to the team with the higher total percent body weight loss.

Every year people struggle with weight gain during the holidays.  Lets face it, it's hard to maintain discipline with so much temptation around. This year, avoid waiting for the New Years Resolution season to pick up the pieces of your shattered goals!  Take action to avoid putting those unwanted pounds on in the first place by signing up for the Rugged Fitness Maintain Challenge!!!

I think the reason why the challenge worked so well for me is because it combined peer pressure with competition. "The Maintain Challege has inspired me to do more than I normally do.
