Group Training Session Descriptions

Strength & Conditioning
These two sessions make up the core of our strength and conditioning program.  We recommend taking at least two of these per week at whatever level you are at.

Strength Foundations –    In these sessions you will learn the proper form and technique to safely and effectively execute the movements that are the foundation of all other exercise routines that we offer.  You will also gain instruction and experience utilizing all of our unique training equipment including the TRX, Kettlebells, and more. Based on your FMS screen and fitness assessment in you Strategy Session, your coach will advise you of how much time should be spent in these foundation sessions. (60 minute session)

Rugged Boot Camp – Our Boot Camp sessions are more than just a "workout of the day".  We have utilized the combined decades of experience of our coaching staff to design a monthly periodized program in which we vary the focus of the weekly routines in order to maximize your results.  Each week consists of two specific workout routines which build the stability, endurance and strength that you need for the following week.  Your performance in a variety of categories is recorded monthly so that you can continue to improve from week to week and month to month.  If you're serious about taking your training to the next level, then this is the class for you!       (50 minute session)

Auxiliary Sessions
Building off of the programming in our main strength & conditioning sessions,  we have developed several Auxiliary Sessions to improve your performance in specific areas.  ​

Cardio & Agility

Boxing Foundations  – Wrap your wrists and put on your gloves because this is not your average cardio boxing group class. In these intro level boxing sessions you will be learning fundamental boxing techniques and combinations as you attack our rows of heavy bags. Who needs a treadmill when you can get your cardio and stress relief all from one high energy session! 
(60 minute session)

Tapout Boxing/Kickboxing  – Make your whole body a weapon.  Working on our heavy bags, you will learn from former pro fighters how to put together devastating combinations of fist, leg & knee strikes that will not only knock out any opponent, but also knock unwanted pounds off.

Rugged Burn - This class focuses on high intensity interval training (HIIT) to burn the maximum calories per minute by keeping your heart rate elevated through fast paced interval style circuits. 

Double Trouble - Get the best of boxing and boot camp in one action packed session. This class combines the strength building aspects of Boot Camp with the cardio blasting power of Boxing fused together to give you one of the most unique group session experiences of your life!! (60+ minute session)

Core Stability & Range of Motion

TRX Training - Take your TRX workouts to the next level with this fun and challenging session.  Through a combination of basic and advanced TRX exercise, we will lead you through a full body workout using your own body weight as the only resistance!  (50 minute session)


Seasonal Workshop (contact us for the next program date)

OCR Training - Building off of the strength, stability and endurance you have created in our Boot Camp sessions, this class prepares you to take on your favorite Obstacle Course Race by training you in the key areas involved with this sport.  You will also have the opportunity to learn and practice the techniques for overcoming the most common obstacles like the Traverse Wall, Monkey Bars, Obstacle Wall and more which we have built onsite at our facility.(60 minute session) Requires separate registration for the 6 week course

Group Coaching Sessions

At Rugged Fitness, our expert coaches and non-intimidating environment creates a place where people at all points in their life’s journey can explore their abilities and be challenged to overcome their own personal obstacles. Our programs incorporate comprehensive, results based training that is tailored to your specific needs and goals. The sessions are 50-60 minutes in length and are designed to be scalable so anyone from beginner to advanced can participate side by side. Most importantly, each of our group sessions is lead by one of our coaches who continuously ensure that you are doing the exercises properly and provide alternate exercises if something exceeds your ability level. Group sizes are kept small to maintain the integrity of the coaching. This means that every time you workout at Rugged Fitness, you are getting the coaching you need to be successful at a fraction of the cost of personal training. You will also receive unlimited access to our Success Tools.
